Child Safe Standards media kit

The Child Safe Scheme commenced 1 February. It means that certain child-related organisations must implement Child Safe Standards. 

Organisations are encouraged to share messages about how they are implementing the Child Safe Standards. Use the below media to let your community know how you're working to keep children and young people safe.

Messages

Short messages your organisation can use as part of your public communications, such as social media or community newsletters. You might like to add links to more information about the Standards or your own child-safe policies.

General

From 1 February 2022, our organisation now must show how we are implementing the Child Safe Standards. We welcome the start of this scheme and have started implementing the Child Safe Standards to make our services even safer for your children.

Standard 1

Standard 2

Standard 4

Standard 5

Standard 6

Standard 7

A child safe organisation adapts its physical environments to minimise opportunities for abuse to occur. Sample email to staff

Organisation leaders can send this to employees and volunteers so they are aware of the new requirements of the Child Safe Scheme.
You should tailor content for your own context and refer workers to our free guides for advice on implementing the Standards. 

On 1 February 2022, the NSW Child Safe Scheme commenced. Our organisation now must demonstrate how we are implementing the Child Safe Standards. These Standards are a key recommendation from the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse. 
We are committed to implementing the Standards and to making our organisation safer for children. We know that this requires strong leadership and sustained, collective effort and action.
